BIOM 570 - Bioengineering

  • 3 credits

Physiological and medical systems analysis using engineering methods including mechanics, fluid dynamics, control electronics, and signal processing.

Prerequisite

CBE 332 (Heart and Mass Transfer Fundamentals) or ECE 311 (Linear System Analysis I) or MECH 331A (Introduction to Engineering Materials: Lecture). Credit not allowed for both BIOM 570 and MECH 570

Dr. Ketul C, Popat is an Associate Professor of Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University. His research interests include Biomedical Engineering, tissue engineering, cancer, controlled release, biocompatibility, biomaterials, orthopaedics, and bio-nanotechnology.

Dr. Popat received his M.Engr. In Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
